Mission Statement

The Mission of the Schipperke Club of America Rescue Program is to rescue, rehabilitate, and find approved, loving homes for Schipperkes in need.

The Schipperke Club of America will, as a policy:

  1. Take all rescues to a Licensed Veterinarian for a complete physical examination, all applicable vaccines and spay/neuter.

  2. All rescues will be evaluated as to temperament and disposition, groomed, and given some basic training.

  3. All rescues will be socialized in a family setting, with other animals, and around strangers in an environment away from the home.

  4. All applicants for adoption will be thoroughly screened for suitability of the home environment and security of the home for the dog.

  5. The members of the Schipperke Club of America, Inc., Rescue Program will follow-up on all dogs adopted to insure the proper fit of the dog and adopting family.
